Edition six, January 2012

With exactly six months to go until the 30th Olympic Games all eyes are on London as we gear up for a great year of sport, culture and celebrations.

London in 2012 will see an unprecedented number of visitors and events from the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Here at the council we will be doing our bit to make sure that the borough runs smoothly and we build a lasting Olympic legacy for our residents. We recognise the great opportunities 2012 presents for Southwark but, at the same time we
want to do all we can to ensure day-to-day business isn’t
disrupted.

We will be keeping you up to date with everything going on in Southwark via this enewsletter please share it with your friends, family and colleagues and encourage them to sign up.

Best wishes,

Cllr Veronica Ward
Cabinet member for culture, leisure, sport and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
